3rd Quarter Coming to an End for Quilt Donations to Meet Grant Match

As we near the end of the 3rd Quarter on September 30, we are looking for more quilts for our VOCA grant match. If you’ve been holding on to any for the Four Corners Child Advocacy Center, please drop by the center to donate. Thank you so much for your continued support of children in our community and the work we do here! Without you, all our hard work wouldn’t be possible.

Instagram Tips for Parents and Guardians

I am a parent of a 15-year old who REALLY enjoys Instagram. What are some of the things I (and other parents and guardians) should be on the look out for? The more we know about the technology the children in our lives are using, the more we can help protect them while still giving them some freedom.

9 Tips for Device Safety

Children are using smart devices from a much younger age than ever before. Therefore it is essential we talk to our children about how to use them safely. There are many positive benefits to the new technology at our disposal these days – but there are plenty of downsides too. As a parent or carer, it’s important you understand these risks and how you can take steps to protect your family against them.

More Beautiful Quilts

The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is so thankful for all the talent that is shared by women creating blankets and quilts for children suffering from abuse. Here are a few of our quarter three quilts.

Did you know that for every hour you spend quilting, we receive a grant match for $60 which helps pay for therapy and advocacy? If you want to get involved, visit our Quilts for Kids page and join our Facebook group for more information.

Elementary Teacher Training

The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is offering incentivized training for Montezuma County elementary educators (teachers & paras), counselors, and administrators. Each staff member can earn up to $50 in gift certificates for attending training through February 28, 2020. Click below for a printable training flier:
All through the end of summer trainings are also shown on our events calendar. EVENTS CALENDAR
Research shows that if approximately 1 in 4 staff members are trained in child abuse prevention, the whole population of the school is impacted.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The more educated we are in preventing child abuse, the more the children in our community are protected.
